Deploy anywhere

Akka agentic systems can deploy to any infrastructure. They will self-cluster and inherit the elasticity and resilience unique to Akka.

Operate how you want

You can manage Akka agentic systems yourself, or use Akka Automated Operations in your VPC or in our serverless environment. Automated Operations gives your team:

  • No downtime updates
  • Multi-region failover
  • Auto-elasticity
  • Persistence oversight
  • Multi-tenant services
  • Observability via the Control Tower
  • Multi-org access controls
  • Certificate and key rotation

No downtime upgrades

Upgrading agentic systems often means juggling service restarts, draining traffic, and coordinating version compatibility, especially across clusters or regions.

Akka Automated Operations eliminates these challenges with built-in support for no downtime upgrades. Services are upgraded in place using rolling deployment strategies that span regions and clusters, preserve availability, maintain state, and avoid disruptions. This allows teams to ship updates with confidence, even in live, mission-critical environments.

Multi-region

Agentic systems often need to serve global users, meet regional compliance requirements, and stay available even if an entire region goes down. Managing this manually is complex and error-prone, involving coordination across infrastructure, data replication, and failover logic.

Akka Automated Operations makes multi-region deployment simple and automatic, with location-transparent clustering, built-in state replication, and seamless failover. Run as a single logical system across regions, ensuring global availability and deterministic performance without ops complexity.

Complex systems. Simple deployment.

Agentic systems are composed of long-running, stateful components that interact with external tools, APIs, and models—making deployment especially difficult to coordinate. Akka Automated Operations greatly simplifies this.

Entire agentic services can be launched, scaled, or updated from the CLI, while the platform automates provisioning, placement, and orchestration. This streamlines delivery and reduces the operational burden of getting agentic systems into production.

Observability

Distributed agentic systems are difficult to debug and monitor—failures can span components, regions, or external tools, and traditional logs often miss the full picture.

Akka Automated Operations provides deep, real-time observability across every layer of the system. Logs, metrics, and traces can be visualized in the Akka Control Tower or streamed to a terminal.

Automated Operations also integrates with standard observability protocols including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus remote write, and Splunk HEC, allowing teams to plug into existing monitoring, alerting, and debugging tools with no disruption.

Service elasticity & resilience

Elastic to workload changes

Akka Automated Operations performs cold starts and automatic adjustments of agent instances as traffic spikes or idles.

Logs, metrics and traces visualized within a per-service dashboard or exported to your preferred observability tooling.

Resilient to failures

Akka automatically snapshots agent instances and executes change data capture of individual state changes for agents. Akka replays snapshots and agent events sequentially to automate restoration after a failure.

Multi-cloud / multi-region

Operate agentic systems across clouds and geos

Multi-Master Replication of agent data across regions with automated cutovers leverage location transparency to enable agents to move from one location to another without users experiencing downtime.

No downtime upgrades, federation of Akka serverless and your VPC, and repatriation migrations are all supported.

Migrations

Freedom to move

Avoid lock-in and downtime during migrations. Akka agents move from one location to another without users experiencing downtime through replication of data across regions with automated cutovers. Support for cloud upgrades, cloud-to-cloud migrations, Akka serverless to your VPC, and repatriation migrations.

migrate-alt

Start with one place

Design, build and deploy agents within a single location.

Regional migration

Add regions for agents to replicate across.

Custodial migration

Retire an agent in one place after movement to a second.

Infrastructure upgrades

Promote read-only regions to writable for rolling infra updates.

Version and schema updates

Agents automatically adapt to schema changes with end user traffic rerouting.

Region-aware data handling

Akka Automated Operations supports region-aware message routing and metadata tagging, allowing services to control where data is processed or persisted. This enables agents to comply with data residency and regulatory requirements like CCPA and GDPR by tailoring behavior based on the origin of the request.

Region context is automatically injected and can be used to enforce fine-grained logic for provisioning, logging, or data storage.

Privacy and security

Agentic services often operate on sensitive data, so privacy and security aren’t optional.

Akka services operate in a secure, zero trust architecture with integrated privacy and compliance controls. These controls make it easy to meet enterprise requirements such as data residency, insider threat mitigation, regulatory compliance, and data minimization.

InfoSec protection

Akka’s commitment to security and compliance is paramount with attestation or certification of 19 compliance standards. Akka has been deployed into 1000s of mission-critical environments.  We understand that our customer’s trust in us is critical so we continually prioritize new InfoSec initiatives.
